• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I got an email from the owner and this is what he said.If any of you are still interested? I will let him talk to you about it.Thans,Kurt

Kurt,
I just found out by talking to someone that knows early bronco’s a lot better than I that while my title says it’s a ’66 the body is from a ’69 or ’70. The vin # on the glove box door does not match the one on the title. I didn’t know that until today.
Scott

The one that he talked to was me.

While it could be a DMV mess, doesn't sound like anything was done with with ill intent. I'm sure he'll work out what he can.............everyone love's a good EB mystery!!

VIN tag is not in the glovebox on a 66'. It's is on the drivers side under the emergency brake pedal. 66' is the only year like this.

Wasn't this in Nebraska on CL couple months ago. Topless on a beach down by what looked like the Missouri or niabrara river?

If the frame VIN matches the title
I'd just lose the glovebox door

Or lose the title

Depends on the state
In my state you don't need a title if the vehicle is older than 25 years

All you need is a bill of sale that has the correct sellers name

They will visually inspect the VIN run it thru the stolen computer and also verify the current owners name
If that all checks out. You get a license plate and registration But no title . It's a weird setup but makes it easy
