Thief! You stole my Ford Sonic Blue. ;)

The Sonic Blue on my rig looks great. I like your choice of the platinum to go with it. It is going to look great.

More pictures when you get the chance. This is no time to slow down.

PS - I love the boots, those are sweet!

Congrats on graduation and good luck with the new venture!
Looking forward to seeing the paint done, should look sharp!
I am leaning towards a grey like that for trim (top/flares/bumpers) for my next project.

Update "Cummins Bronco"

Guys i finally got to bring home the MECA of all Bronco parts;D

The primer grey bronco i kinda bought on consignment...the owner has been letting me pay him out. Friday I sold an extra Powerstroke truck I've had no use for and got the last of the cash I owed him.

Sunday I went and picked the thing up!!!....

Yall should see it on my gooseneck there are so man parts in the bronco the ass is squatted, then it came with a full top and a halfcab top 3 bulkheads 2 of which are brand new reman, halfcab has been totally rebuild, boxes and boxes of extra parts, extra motors etc....then the red parts bronco has parts all over it....he even gave me all the reciepts from all the work hes been doing...plus notes hes gathered on broncos

Lets put it this way my long bed truck and my 34' gooseneck didn't have enough room for all the parts....i still have to go back and get the 289 motor and 302 block:eek:

I will take some pics tonight of all the goodies I got;D

I have been working on mine just about every night when I get home. I am not far away from firing up the engine. Perhaps early December. What I have to do to get to that point is as follows:

1) Finish engine wiring harness (4 to 6 hours).
2) Order new windshield and have it installed.
3) Install soft top and soft doors (1 weekend).
4) Load on trailer and take to exhaust shop (1 week?).
5) Fire off engine for break-in.
6) Order cage and have it welded locally, powdercoated and installed (I didn't want to order a cage until I had the interior finished so incase they have to bend around anything.
7) While having the cage done have some custom steps made (wife is 5' 1" and can't climb in without me lifting her).
8) Stereo, SAT Radio install.
9) Done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figure by Christmas I will be driving her regularly.

The Sonic Blue I used is a 2004/2005 Mustang Ford Sonic Blue (two coats base, 3 coats clear).

I will take some pictures in the next week or so and post them.

Keep going on yours and congrates on the graduation!

UPDATE: May 18, 2009

Well its been a LONG time since I've updated this thread but here goes....I didn't have my camera during progess so this is after math pics

Last week finally had some time to work on the Bronco...

Had a couple buddies come over to the shop and we all picked the body up and removed it from the frame. We swapped the old frame with one that we had ground down all the welds removed the shocks and motor mounts. I then had it sandblasted and we primed and painted the whole thing.

So basically we tore it completely apart. Swapped in the new frame, installed my 4.5" Superlift and my homeade body lift. Springs from a 70's F150 to hold the motor wieght

As for the body lift when I worked at the offroad shop Jeep kits came with these 4.5" solid aluminum blocks to use as bump stop spacers. We never did install them. Turns out if you cut them in 3rds they make perfect 1.5" body lift blocks. the great part is they already have holes the same exact size as the body bolts from a bronco.

So cut um down and bingo bango 1.5" body lift block for FREE!!!

Anyway here are the progress pics..

AWESOME .... lets get to work !!! ;D ;)
Haha that is what I said since I started this thing.

Now I'm finally making some progress. Hopefully by the first of Dec I will have it driving;D (cross fingers)

I will pick the motor up this week and the rebuild kit should also be in this week:cool: ;D

I also traded a lift kit and some shocks for the paint job

So its moving along now. I'm so ready to actually get to drive this thing instead of just look at it in my shop collecting dust
