Hi, looking to verify I can remove the complete original v belt front dress from a 1974 Bronco and simply bolt it all on a 1993 5.0 Mustang motor? I do have a four bolt crank pulley to use. Will it fit and work?

Do I still use the stock original style water pump on the new motor?

Anything else I am missing?

The timing cover and water pump will have to be changed over as well.

You will have to use the Mustang balancer on the 5.0 motor. It has the 50oz balance. Your Bronco balancer is a 28oz.

You'll also have to keep the Bronco oil pan and oil pump pickup. A 50oz fly wheel/flex plate will be needed too. The block won't have the early clutch linkage pivot hole but the after market makes a bracket as a go around.

Yes. Good info above and here's a little more.
Unless you put an eccentric on the cam (which may not fit) you are going to need to block off the mechanical fuel pump mount on the timing cover. That's what I did. I also used an aftermarket balancer that the pulley bolted too.

The damper on the front of the crank, you need an aftermarket one. You need a 3-bolt damper to use the stock Bronco crank pulley. But it needs to be the late model 50 oz-in balance. There is no factory damper that is configured that way, but inexpensive aftermarket ones do exist.

You cannot use the 4-bolt damper with the Bronco pulleys, there isn't a pulley that will line up. Can't redrill the 3-bolt pulley, the offset on the damper is different. There are no pulleys available that line up. People have been looking for one for over 20 years, they don't exist.

Thanks all, the v belt current motor does have the 4 bolt damper and 4 bolt Ford v belt pulley. Everything lined up but motor is shot.
