VIN assistance & quick introduction

Hello,

Recently I stumbled across this 1971 Ford Bronco at a scrap yard and bought it site on scene with barley even looking at it. I have had it a little over a week and so far I have managed to get it running (first time in approx 20ish years) and got the VIN report back from the registries and it's got a clean title and it seems we are the second owners of it!

The truck will need tons of new sheet metal as it's pretty soft in a lot of areas; it's going to need front floors complete, fenders, rockers, quarters, a pillar for the door hinges and b pillar door catch just to start. I would love some recommendations on who to source sheet metal from as I don't want light gauge poorly fitting crap! I want to do this resto once and right.

If someone could assist me with more info on the truck via the VIN it would be greatly appreciated!!

One thing I will be looking for is a drivers seat frame, one of the parts I didn't find inside it when I got it home.

Welcome aboard!!! And thanks for saving another one!!! It's a little rough, but looks pretty solid in some areas!!!
Good Luck;D;D;D

I have fixed worse off cars, at least all the metal is available! Who is the best companies for buying OE quality Tin? I have been looking at BroncoGraveyard.com so far.

BTW how long is it to get pictures approved? Do they always have to go through a moderator or is it because I am new here?

I'm not sure how long new members are moderated, but having no spam is worth the the little inconvenience.

Glad to hear another Bronco exhumed.

Maybe you can list your state in profile, so someone close to you would be more likely to help. Good Luck!

I bought most of my metal (and many of the same parts that you need) from bronco graveyard and was happy with the quality and fit. It would seem that about every Bronco is a little different so these pieces may not be perfect and will need some fitting.
