I just finished my welding cart and thought we could use a thread about peoples homemade welding carts and other things. Please share your carts and tables or what not.
I'll start with my cart.

I bought the cheap Harbor Freight cart when I first got the welder a few years ago. I know i should have built my own. Anyway it was a bit too small and i finally got around to building this one. Much more heavy duty (ok probably over kill but so what).
The 1.5" square tube i already had laying around. Same with the diamond plate. But the rest I bought from home depot. Im sure it have been cheaper to buy it from a metal supply yard though. Anyways I have under $100 invested in it.

I used Rustoleum auto primer and Rustoleum blue. It matches well. Not exact but close enough.

I'm looking for a cart right now and read the reviews on Harbor Freight, won't be going there. $100 invested is great for what you ended up with; job well done.

Your cart came out great and it looks super heavy duty.

In terms of the Harbor Freight cart, if you can get it on the cheap it is a decent cart for use around the garage. I would say that the biggest downfall of the cart is that the wheels are kinda Crappy! If I change anything, I think that some better casters would greatly improve the cart. Aside from that, for the price it gets the job done just fine and will do for now. It is also designed for a smaller welder and in the case of my Miller XP 130 it fits really well on the cart.

I originally made one out of some spare wood that I had around. Wish I still had it because you would have gotten a good laugh out of it. It worked but was very crude for sure! ;D

I bought a cart from Northern Tools. Love it, but wish I had made one like that...very nice!

Me too on the Northern Tool welding cart.
Me too on wishing I had made one like that.

But I really do like the Northern Tool cart. Best I could find locally. We have Northern Tool right here in O'town just a few blocks away from Harbor Freight.
