I was just looking through the photos at Jeff's Bronco Graveyard and found this picture of the WWBB Bronco that we raced in the Mint 400

OK, so I visited my folks over the Thanksgiving and was able to get a bunch of old photos from the WWBB days.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, they have boxes of photos and slides I still have to go through

We'll start with the 1977 MINT 400, our club had a guy who wanted to race, but needed more than just sponsor money, he needed a crew. The club voted to support his entry into the 1977 MINT 400

The owner of the Bronco was Carlis Chaussee, the co-driver was Noel Christensen

Pics of the group headed for Vegas, my parents didn't own an RV at the time, so they hitched a ride and took turns at the wheel of the motorhome

Very cool pics! Thanks for sharing! Love to see these old race pics - and they're ones we haven't seen yet! The red/white race Bronco is the ex-Stroppe Pony - and happens to be the truck shown in my avatar. Very, very similar to the one in the old ad above, which is Big Hoss. Both rescued by Andrew Norton (bajabronco) this summer and they both now reside in Northern CA.

Keep the pics coming!

Here are some pics of my Dad's Bronco at the Moses Lake (WA) sand dunes, Memorial Day weekend 1978

He removed the winch and windshield frame, the black Jeep was owned by a family friend, who owned the gas station that I worked at off and on through high school and college

The Jeep was a CJ-5, I think it was a '75 or '76, it had a built AMC 390 v-8 and 4 speed

pics from a trail run in Eastern WA, looks like Yakima area, possibly the eastern end of the Naches trail?

My Dad running the winch, we found these guys on the side of the road, they took the corner too fast and rolled their FJ40

a group photo, somewhere in the Cascade Mountains, note the dept of ecology bags on the front bumpers. We were given those for free as we consistently volunteered to clean up garbage left by hikers and bikers.
