Gary: is there anything supporting that brake line? Is there a support of some sort where the hard line meets the rubber one?

Yes. There are brackets on both sides that attach to the inner u-bolts. Funny you should ask though - I do need to re-weld the attachment point for the splitter block that mounts on the pumpkin. I could not use the vent fitting that usually holds it and had to weld a bolt to the Currie housing. So I tacked a bolt on to hold it and the weld broke when I dropped the axle down.
