I'm looking at a rattle can paint job for my 1977 Bronco Sport this summer. Just want it a bit prettier than the current patina.

Pretty sure my grill is argent in color. I want to touch it up as well but without taking the grill off the Bronco.

So, I know argent is supposed to be silver, but where is the shades of silver does it fall?

I do have chrome trim around the grill. I assume the argent isn't supposed to be metallic or chrome silver. Is it more grey?

Looking to buy something close off the shelf. Doesn't need to be a perfect match.

Or should I go with white as the hardtop will be white with a red body?

I just added a couple of photos in My Garage. the rougher looking paint is closer to current. The one with the brighter red body and white top is after a previous rattle can job years ago.

NAPA has it in a spray can - it's SUPPOSED to be an exact match. Argent aluminum silver # 7245 - it's a Martin Senour paint.

silver.
I get 'everything' at a local auto-body store (much like any other prts store, NAPA, independents, etc) They can make up anything U bring them out back as well (more $). I don't go back there but they say the puter will generate anything (tell them what to throw in the bin).
No $ for custom mix? Then look @ onsite listings. If U have the ford numbers (1 specific position in VIN) they match (by model'n yr) PPG & all the other co's 4 or 6 digit numbers. The 'paint chip card" will have the single digit number expanded into verbal description, 4 or 6 digit number/lrts and abt 4 co's who make that. At that point I search out a standard rattle can ( again using matching numbers) @ wally's world, hrd wear store or 1 of the ubiquitous prts stores (O'R's, AutoZ, advance, etc) as I usually need so lill 3, 5 cans will B quite enuff - no gun to clean, mix to prep, etc. Good luck, let us no how U do...

YES i'VE USED it on my Jeep & It's the body color but that paint has been on it for about 3 years & even matches well.
My Ace hardware has in on their shelf .
But I'd like that Motorcraft .. Was it bought from Ford Dealer ..
Or I'd go to NAPA.
... I SOLD DuPoint pant from 1967 until 1995.
I could mix it from card or form the new fancy computer .
