What hose do you use for your PCV valve?

The carburator fitting for PCV is a different size than the PCV valve itself. It has been this way on both the Edelbrock and Holley carbs I have run. Without forcing the PCV valve into a hose that is obviously too small, is there another way (a correct way) to hook it up? I have always rammed the PCV valve into the smaller hose and it ends up splitting in no time.

heat up the hose and stretch it with a pare of needle nose or something that fits in the hose the stretch it.

or go to a hose company and have them match up a fitting that is the same size as your hose and pcv valve.

You can find a plastic vac line reducer fitting in the help section. I have one that goes from 3/8" to 1/4".

That's what I did with mine. Made a big difference in the how clean my plumbing was. I used 3/8 rubber hose to mate up a bent-by-me 3/8" steel line from the valve to the carb. That 90° valve worked great.
You have to use one from a similar vehicle though, as they are different inside. I used one from a smogged out mid-seventies 302 for my high-altitude running (ran too lean at sea-level) and one from a Corvette for normal running around. I'm sure there are other Ford applications that would work too, but I found the Vette to work perfect for me at the time.
