Hey all
Ever since I put my MTZ's on I have noticed my gas millage had really suffered. I think the main reason is that these are 10-12 LBS more than my BFG A/T's

I have been trying to find out the weight of my American racing AR32's in 15x10 size, but so far haven't been able to find out how much they are.

If I can find some lighter wheels, but still strong enough for the 35's I might be able to get some of the fuel millage back.

So if you know what my AR32's weigh, and know the weights of some other lighter 15x10 inch wheels I would appreciate it.

I think Ultra 164's and 062's are a few lbs lighter, but untill I find out what my current wheels weigh I am not sure.

Hey Don, don't forget, you changed your tires last fall, when the north east starts getting it's "winter" blend fuel, everyone loses a little mileage. You may want to run it through the summer to make sure you have an accurate count. I'm not saying it's not the weight of the tires/rims, just that it may not be all of the cause.

I bet the MTZ has a high rolling resistance then the old BFG ATs. Big blocks do not roll smooth like a bunch of little blocks. Put some ATV tires on a golf cart once (already underpowered). Same height, but those chunky tread blocks killed power. So much so that putting the bald and leaky turf tires back on and it ran much better. Never had enough power to spin the bald turf tires so the ATV tires were a complete waste anyway.
