I'm 93" and about to bump up to 39.5. I dig the short wheelbase in the northwest

Your Bronco is killer! It was cool to see it in action at the BBQ. Looks like you're adding more beef to it now.

heres how 105'' wb with 42's look like from the side

id also talk to big rick on nwcb. he used a stock 78-79 4x4 box w/o changing it to a 4x4x2 and moved the front forward like 5 or 6 inches. i have some pics of his setup on my phone i could text you. ill forewarn you though he's gonna be cutting into his grill and he's only on 37's

I stretched my rear 10" so I'm 102" overall. I wish I was longer, maybe 105-108. Like said above though it depends on the wheeling you do. Here in the east coast we tend to go longer than other regions.

agreed, mine is 102" and would certainly take 108-110" anyday.

Thanks for the pic Mike, it helps me visualize what it will look like. 5 inches in the front might be too much for me. I'll PM you my number because I would still like to see the pics.

yeah 5 is a lot in the front if you want to keep a full body and run 40's. id be willing to bet the grill would have to get chopped all the way up to the bottom of the headlights.

i honestly don't remember how much stretch on mine is in the front. i believe its 2'' or less.

100" for 40's.
I'm a monster at 107 or 108.

No, you just don't have to worry as much about flipping back on steep ledges and you can actually climb!!! I have/had two rigs on 40's with a wb of 106. Both were built for that setup. Works very well

What he said;D

I was originally going to set mine up to run 40's but when I got to cutting the hood for tire clearance I decided it wasn't that important.

I’m guessing it would take about $10k to have a built D60/14 bolt combo, 3 link front, 4 link rear, and ORI struts under the Bronco. Atlas 4 and wheels/tires would be needed at some point.

That sounds about right, IIRC all the 3 link parts for mine was not too expensive. I'm runing coils on the front and when I link the rear I want to run ORI's.

This is what I’ve come up with so far. Most of the prices are a guestimate at this point so the total could be a little more or a little less.

Dana 60 $1000
Dana 60 35 spline outers $400
Dana 60 ARB $1000
Dana 60 R&P $400
14 Bolt $200
14 Bolt shave kit $270 Ballistic
14 Bolt truss combo $305 Artec
14 Bolt disc brake brackets $50 RuffStuff
14 Bolt ARB $1000
14 Bolt R&P $400
14 Bolt rotors/calipers $200
ORI STX struts $2640

Totals $7865 plus the 3 and 4 link parts.

I think you could save some money by buying a Unit bearing 60, get a matching set from a wrecked super doody. Do you have a user account on pirate4x4? if you do PM waynehartwig for geats and lockers since he is a yukon dealer. He quoted me 360 for HP60 R&P and yukon install kit with timken bearings to my door.

Thanks for the information. I registered for Pirate probably 14 years ago so I'll try to figure out my login ;D Unit bearing = ball joint?

Sorry I missed your thread... I would have thought Kyle.Malone or Yeller would have mentioned mine. It sounds to me that you want to do about what my rig is at currently. Mine is at 98" wb and run 40" tires, gas tank in the stock location. Front is pushed forward 1" and the rear is back 4". It has the equivalent of 4" susp. and 2" body lift. The link to my build thread is in my sig. line.

I'm a few pages into your thread. Over the last two days I have read all 59 pages in DanWheelers D60/3 link thread. Yours will keep me very busy :) Your build is what I'm after.
