I'm putting together my build list and I know I want a soft top (I'll be putting a family cage in it.

What do you have? What has sucked? What is easy? You know, gimme the low down!

Thanks - J

I'm going with the BC Broncos soft top. By far the best soft top on the market - but pricey.

I went with a Rampage Black Diamond. I liked the look of the BC top but don't like buttons and wanted a top that I could fold down. I went with the Black Diamond because I don't like the look of vinyl. The black Diamond looks more like a fabric top instead of vinyl. I like it so far, it was an easy install and is very easy to fold down if you want to go topless.

I run the BC top and love it. It is pricey, but quality is never cheap. I was on the fence for a while before I bought mine, but I was sold after I laid eyes on it.

Rampage Black Diamond here. Been really happy with it and you can find them on sale through the vendors with free shipping from time to time.

I've been running the Rampage top for 6 years now, The zippers are starting to give me trouble. The Diamond series has better zippers, definitely worth the extra $100.

I searched till I found an old Can-Back top, they where the best tops every made for these trucks. If you can find someone selling one, they are the way to go.

I wonder if this would work for my tall cage. How far above the rails does this top sit? My cage is about an inch taller than the hard top

Pretty sure the bc is built to clear any cage that fits under the hard top. Don't think any will fold down with a family cage. Pretty sure the can backs were the first series of bc tops designed by Chuck. When I get one it will be a bc top. None of the rattling hardware blocking the space above the rear tire. My kids climb over the bed rail to get in and out. I also like the better material for the top. Had a kayline/stc tear and blow off on the freeway..
