I'm looking for an EB, a daily driver in decent shape, and wondered who you guys use for insurance.

How hard is it to get your rig fixed if wrecked? Anyone experienced a situation like that?

I now use State Farm for my cars and boat and wondered if anyone has specific feedback from having filed a claim with them.

I use AllState, have never had to file a claim(knock on wood) but their rate is great for me, my last statement(6month) was ~$360 By the way, they were the only people that would cover me, a 21 year old male with a '71 Bronco of 36" swampers. Good luck.

I use California Casualties. I got it right after I did a rebuild and they asked me if $15k coverage was enough, so I jumped on it. I also had reciepts for all the purchases, etc. and sent them pictures. Had them for the past 5 years and no complaints (no claims either) and they still have me with $15k coverage. About $400 a year for it. Much better coverage than I was offered from Allied, Chubb or Farmers.

Insurance

Depends on what you want. I have Haggerty and they have my bronco valued at $30K. I do not have a deductible. I can put 4-5K miles on it annually (no trail riding but I dont in this one anyways), great customer service and about $450/yr.

I use Allstate as well. $12,000 stated value (which is the replacement coverage), for $575 a year. My deductable is $100 which is in line with my other vehicles if something minor happens to it. The only two catches I had were, I had to provide an appraisal and I have a second car that I listed under my name so I did not list this as an every day vehicle. I'm told that it would not change my premium that much if I did use the bronco everyday.

Allstate as well. All I had to do was tell them I wanted it insured for $15k and done. Comprehensive at that level costs me around $350 for a six month period.

Allstate hasn't been very helpful with me. They don't seem to know much when I ask them "How much is it valued?" The response is, "Blue Book value." OK, then what is it? They don't know..."maybe call back when the adjuster is here" is what I was told.

How about the agent figure it out? I'm about to drop Allstate and find another carrier.

Get an appraisal and go to the office with it and the bronco. Let them look at the bronco. They took pics of mine and filed the appraisal. Make sure to keep a copy.

Well.....don't think you'll get this deal unless you have your house and other autos with them......but all of my broncos are now insured with American National. Got the 71 insured for $30K for $92.00 annually. That's right.....awesome!

I have CSAA (AAA in Nor Cal). Liability and Comp is $615 a year with low annual miles and three other cars on the policy. Can't say I would recommend AAA, but they're not the worst either.

You may want to check this thread, it isn't necessarily as easy as it sounds.

Read the policy and do not pay any attention to what the agent tells you. IT is the carrier and underwriter that matter.. The agent gets his cut for your coverage weather you can actually use it or not. The underwriter will disqualify you if they think you have violated restrictions. Also a lot of places that claim to be full coverage or stated value really ain't what they say they are. You won't find out until you actually total it, then you will have to fight to get More than blue book. Be careful especially if it is a daily driver and driven off road. Don't get sucked into using the antique route if you don not meet the restrictions.
