Who knows the correct heater hose route?

I am installing new heater hoses. I want to make sure I have the routing correct. It looks like. From the lower intake the hose comes out then behind the carb to a heater valve {if you will}, then goes one of the 2 heater core outlets. I am guessing the one closest to the motor. Then from the outer barb on the heater core {fender side} back to the front of the motor to the bottom port of the water pump. Please let me know if this is correct. Or a pic. Thanks again.

Yep, you got it.
The upper/inner hose also lays into a support of sorts at the carburetor choke mechanism. Probably to support the hose off of then engine, AND to add a heat source to help with the choke pull-off.
Might as well check your valve for proper operation too. They do get corroded over time and either won't open when you need it, won't close all the way when you don't, or both.
