Last night the clutch rod popped off the clutch pedal and stranded my daughter on the roadside. Within minutes, a Bronco brother stopped to see if she needed help. he left before I got there but I appreciate his offer. I think it was a light blue wagon on Riggs and Higley roads. Anyway, Thankyou

Not me but I see a light blue wagon with white hard top (top is always on, I think he's got AC), 31" tires or so, and he generally drives quickly. It's painted real nice. He's running around in that thing all the time. I've seen it plenty of times in the East Valley area of S. Tempe/Chandler.

Glad to hear he helped out or at least stopped.

Good excuse to teach your daughter how to drive without a clutch. She'll love it and can show her friends if they ever need it.
Came in real handy when my clutch-rod broke an end off on my way to work. And was already late!

Is that what happened to yours? Or did it just pop out of one end?

No, the small pin securing the clutch rod to the pedal broke and the rod fell off the pedal. The resulting slack at the other end of the linkage then allowed the adjustable pushrod to slip out of the fork at the bellhousing. The clutch pedal end she can fix. Climbing under the Bronco at night on the side of the road is WAY beyond her.
