Could always be worst right.. Hang in there brother.. Sending prayers...

It's mine. I got it from Chuck beginning of the year.

There's a guy who has a bunch of critters that got loose with this incident happening before with another vehicle. The plan is to repair right now but I haven't seen it since before the accident or at least don't recall seeing it. Haggerty is saying the right things at the momoment. Plus there is the libility of the guy with the critters, he's already offered some money according to haggerty.

I still have alot of fog concerning the wreck and I'm waiting for some more mental and financial clarrity before I make a full decesion.

It's at a shop I use alot so I have the facilities, parts, skills to repair it. Gotta look at the medical bills as 10 days of ICU isn't cheap. Another week or so should produce answers. I already miss driving the truck so hopefully that helps into putting it back together.

Kudos to Chucks excellent build as I'm sure that helped me survive the wreck.

That I did not know. I'm wondering how they can sell something they do not own or something I haven't authorized them to do something with.

Didn't that happen to another member here with a wrecked truck?

Wonder if it is some sort of "market value" thing they use to determine payout?

I have used Haggerty for 10+ years (they are local to me) and they always seemed pretty stand-up, I would give them a call ASAP

In the fine print it seems that the auction is not exactly an absolute auction,

Pretty strange. Maybe Hagerty is trying to get a market value on it the covert way...

Hell of a crash, glad you're ok NC-Fordguy.

The EB looks kind of rough but may not b as bad as it looks. I noticed that it has a BCB top on it that from what I can tell is not damaged? While It is strong and I would like to say that it is a strong as a roll bar we all know that is not even close. So why didn't it gt beat up? I can think of two reasons, one as it rolled the top did not touch the grd or the EB did not fully roll but somehow ended up on both sides. I guess the bottom line is the EB may not be as bad as it looks.

I agree looking at the pictures. The windshield frame is untouched and even the top of the drivers door window. The tub looks real good with the only damage to the drivers side quarter. If I had to guess I would say he went into a ditch or something and rolled it over the nose but not the top. That said, the front looks about 2 inches shorter than it's supposed to be and coupled with his injuries, I think he hit something head-on pretty hard.

Something like that sounds right. Once stuff starts happening they tend to happen fast but even faster if you get hurt and even more so when you end up in ICU. My suggestion is to do nothing until you are fully well then have close look at the frame, radiator support and main body to see what needs to e fixed then decide.

Get well soon. SO sorry this happened.
I am in the middle of planning my cage, belts, etc. which I have, but am wondering what you hit your head on. I am sure you don't know. I had a bike accident and lost consciousness for an hour with 6 days in hospital, and everything from before the accident on is gone, so I can only imagine your situation.
So did u have 3 point belt, pads on roll bars, etc.? Just asking as I am trying to learn from all of these incidents and build the safest possible set-up. Right now I am asking for it as I have nada, nothing. Just a lap belt, no cage, and soft top. No highways for me but still hazardous.

Not sure what specifically I hit my head on as i got bumps bruises, knots and a bunch of stuff.

As far a a safety restraint system??? Proto fab or better cage. Definately saved my a$$. 3 point safety belt system but honestly a 4 or 5 point would be better. Conveienence has to be mastered on this for sure.

Talking with some folks today, the guy with the animals who helped cause this wreck has created this situation at least 4 times before. The more I think about it the more this upsets me. At least this time the offending critters were dispatched from doing so again. I'm debating about going after this guy financially. Figured I have around 50k in damages. Hate to be an a$$hole sometimes but some folks just don't get the error in their ways.

Glad you're one the mend, so sorry you and your Bronco had to go thru all of this. Some folks just don't get that they are responsible for keeping their animals controlled/contained. Maybe if it hurt$$ him a little he'll finally get it...
If they hadn't taken care of the critters I'd have suggested a big BBQ to celebrate your recovery.

Lawyer up. You may have long term effects from that severe a knock on the head. I hate to tell you to go that way, but your health insurance will not pay for results of vehicle accident.

I would not hesitate to lawyer up and go after him. You shouldn't have to pay for the results of his negligence.....

You want to lawyer up. Your accident was due to someone else's negligence. The insurance company is not on your side. If you were to blame then of course you take responsibility, but you are the victim. I'm a cyclist and back in 2005 was hit by a lady driving a Buick. I know a lot of drivers hate the cyclist, but we're just regular people that want to stay in shape. I was in my lane, right side, doing it lawful. She turned into me. I've been riding road bikes since 2000 and before that I raced mountain bikes in a lot of those 12 and 24 hour endurance races. Anyway, my left kneecap was shattered and it took a year and a half, and three surgeries before I could ride again. And I can never run again due to meniscus damage and no cartilage behind the kneecap. The first surgery was over $85K. This all happened in 2005 when I was 46 and I am still dealing with the physical damage every day. So you will probably be dealing with the aftermath of this incident much longer than you are thinking. You want to protect yourself financially.
