okie I really Figured you'd be the Trooper who would know of a big farm tractor shop .
It's amazing how big some of those farmer shops are.
.. Those TV SHOWS THAT SHOW THE OLD gUYS With all the Classic Tractors in them .. Some of those guys will have 50 classic tractors in them .
...
... I don't need one that big.
... I re drew it today 3 times .. Selling this tractor & that project what can I get by with .
.................................
.............
................. SO WHAT do you guys use as how much room does each pickup car or Bronco need to place it correctly . I was putting dow 15 wide & 18 long .
Latter I swapped to 15x20 for each . What do you think.

I have more questions than answers.
I've got 2 big buildings. One a 150' the other165'. You better have things laid out well. That's a lot of walking back and forth. Have stalls just for working and move them back to parking as soon as your done.

If you plan on parking any full size trucks you will need deeper stalls. For me to just park 15' would be to wide. Being able to drive through with a trailer is nice in my world but may not work for you. Many ways to layout parking and garage doors remember to make it easy on you. Don't save a dollar you will regret down the road. Leave plenty of room for your lift.

my garage is 36x60 its packed full. gotta move stuff to move stuff, my truck and trailer still sit outside.
I only have a single door 12x12 on the end, makes for better storage on each side of it bet makes parallel parking a 31ft RV hard, my wife hates doing it and she is just the spotter.
Bigger door would be nicer, plan on the guy after you needing to store a class A RV 16x16 door would be better for that.

get a fork lift makes moving and storing heavy stuff easy.

Next story ... So I saw a Business out on a big HWY that gone toes up.
So I call into the Tax Office & started asking questions . They transferred me to a really good young man .. Whom decided to help me ..
So I ask what are the taxes on that A-Quality Steel building .. Building & 2.5ac of dirt.
Only 9K a year. & He said I could swap it to residential & my taxes would be lots cheaper . & Then he said I'd need to buy 6 ac to have enough land for building ... & New House & a farm exemption . .
... He & I laughed I could buy 40ac & build what I want & then sell of 30ac of land & still have a cheaper set up ..

I was in Earhart Indiana a few weeks ago touring RV factories, talk about the land of big ass buildings. You don't realize how big the buildings are walking around inside of them until you count the 40 plus 45 ft RV being assembled and all the shop space around them.

I turn sixtynine in December. I spend a lot of time keeping in good physical shape, but I have less than half the strength I had five years ago. My mind has slowed, it takes much longer to figure problems out. Reading your situation I applaud your conclusion, starting an exit plan. Simplifying your life now will give you time to spend with the people you love. I loved my dad, but he spent the majority of his life working on his stuff, never able to change the path he was on. Your grand kids like mine are a different generation. Find out what they like and get involved with them, at what ever the cost.
