Wildhorses clutch equalizer bracket adapter on a 351

Anyone ever installed the bracket on a 351?

Pictures below of what I'm running into. Do I need to grind everything in the red rectangle away so this slides in correctly? That is a ton of grinding...

I have and yes you have to grind that area away so it fits. I did it with the engine installed. I used a Dremel. Went through a couple bits.

Yup - I ran a tap through the hole in the block, used some all thread and spin it through. Of course I had to do it that was as everything was installed and working in the truck at the time.
