Someone had put the drop bracket and flipped the electric motor for my wipers. Today I installed an original style bracket but I have an issue.

How do you re-calibrate the off position for the wiper motor? My guess is you remove the connection and reinstall to the proper place on the elec motor, but I am not sure about that.

Any help?

Easy Peezy. You don’t have to recalibrate the motor itself. Just remove the nut, flip the short arm around (not over) and put the nut back on. Because you flipped the motor 180°, the drive arm has to be flipped 180° as well. This will park the wipers in the up position when the motor parks.

You’re on the right track. The park/off position is set inside the wiper motor, not by the linkage adjustment.
What you want to do is
Disconnect the wiper linkage from the motor.
Plug the motor in and cycle it once, then turn it off so it parks itself naturally.
With the motor now in its parked position, reinstall the linkage so the wiper arms sit where you want them at rest.
Tighten everything back up and test.
If the wipers still park wrong after that, then the motor may have been internally indexed/flipped when the drop bracket was installed, which would require opening the motor and re-indexing the park cam but usually that’s not needed.
Make sure the wiper arms themselves are also clocked correctly on the splines before chasing motor issues

It runs circular, not back and forth. I let it run while not attached to anything and monitored it's resting position, then put the nut on. If your not totally convinced, remove the actual wipers from the wind and draw a vertical line on the exterior shaft, then monitor where it ends up when the motor is shut off.

Got that thing flipped over !

I am still off just a little on the driver side wiper, I assume I can take the arm off and move it just a few splines and replace it?

Any insight on how to pull it off?

Yup, they should just slide up. I used a screwdriver to pry gently from the top edge with a little wiggle. Hardest part was holding the wiper off the glass in a manner that didn't put all the pressure on the cap portion that you are prying/sliding off. Be patient, if they haven't been off in while you might have to mess around with it for a bit.

There is a little tab under the hinge holding the wiper arms onto the shaft. I used a 90 degree pick to hold the tab whole I pulled up the arms.

silly question, if it is under there, how do I find it and where to place the pick?

Yeah, you have to be familiar with old wipers to know that one. And unfortunately, they weren’t all the same anyway. So it’s a learning curve the first time no matter what vehicle you have.
Some of them you didn’t have to use a pick, because the action of pushing up the arm against the spring far enough, literally retracted the clip. Then you were able to pull up on the arm off of the splined shaft. Those are my favorites!
But genetically speaking, if you lift the arm up against the spring, and peek directly underneath it, then centered under the arm is the metal tab. Work your way around it with the tool and see what you can do.
Putting some protection underneath so you don’t scratch the paint it’s a good idea. Maybe just something simple like tape. Cardboard is almost too thick.

Maybe someone will have some pictures. My arms aren’t stock anymore so I don’t have any way to show you.

There is a groove around the splined shaft. hook the tab and pull it back toward the spring.

Ok now another stupid question

I want to unplug the wiper motor but this one looks like it has been connected over 50 years. Can someone send me a picture of it unplugged so I know where to pry/pull
