Wire shrouding for truck bed liner application

I am in the process of floor pan prep in order to bed line the interior of my 73 bronco. I currently have wiring ran under the carpet for rear speakers. I am also doing this to a 57 VW which has a wire bundle ran from front to rear on top of the floor pans.

I was curious if anyone has suggestions for covering these wire groups with an aesthetically pleasing shroud/sheath of some sort. It would need to cover the wires and be able to take the liner product, while at the same time be durable to withstand the possibility of someone placing a foot and body weight on it

Maybe someone who has applied a liner product to the interior of a vehicle has come up with a solution.

Thanks! Brooks Cunningham

I'm guessing that you want a metallic conduit of some kind so the liner will bond?

There are some fairly flat metal surface mount conduit styles out there that might fit the bill... still be quite noticeable...

I run all my wires underneath the body in conduit...easier to hide, protects them better, nothing to catch your feet on or worry about abrasion/cuts..

Good luck- let us see what you came up with

Yup, they make that in metal also...least I think they still do. Commercial would require it...

I hoped someone did this as well, alas, everyone, audio folks, car rebuilders, etc, all said run it under the body...

I would run it through a light duty conduit and route it along corner of rocker and floors in the corner so it will hide under carpet etc. Another helpful hint run one unused wire when you pull everything through so if you want to add something later you already have a pull wire there and ready. Then pull another in extra then.

I would just wrap all wires in aluminum foil to shoot the bed liner product. Then find a nice wire wrap that you like. Are you re-installing the carpet? If not, are you spraying the liner black? I too run mine under the vehicle so it’s mostly out of the way.
