Starting my 4r70w installation. I need to find out the size and thread count for the nut on the shifter shaft. Anyone know?

Does this selector shaft need changed to install the lokar column shift linkage? The instructions state that it is not needed to be replaced if "factory bolt on trans arm" is present. Mine looks like OP first post.

If the flange/ hub of the lokar arm mates up to the factory shift shaft I don't see why you couldn't throw a nut on the threaded portion to hold it on there. Range sensor/ NSS would go on first of course.

unfortunately it doesn't appear that there is enough room for the arm to bolt on with the Range sensor in place. The stock shaft isnt long enough

Interesting that they would say that it works with the OEM shift shaft but doesn't. Have you tried fitting it up with a range sensor to make sure?

I used the adjustable column linkage and shift shaft/ lever from Tom's. Their selector shaft looks to be an exact copy of the Lokar unit (if not the same), here are a couple different shots of it:
