Mine are in truck boxes and are wedged behind the front seats in front of the wheel wells. Others have installed them in their rear quarters for a more integrated look.

I'm building some sheet metal boxes to weld on the top of my wheel wells. Going to Raptor line them with the rest of the tub and fill with some foam and Dynamat for sound.

I made some MDF (medium density fiberboard) boxes to fit into a nook in the roll cage. I modeled them in Solid Works & cut the parts on my mill, but this could easily be done with carboard templates as well. I coated them with bedliner and stuffed some foam in them to help "fill out" the sound. With old Sony XPlod 6x9's these things sounded great....

They're screwed to the stock qtr panel mounting tabs with screws through the inside panel, then the outer (speaker mounting) panel screws in place.

Very nice! How are they secured to the Bronco?

As there isnt much room, imade some 6X9 boxes out of some 16 guage, lined them with a dynomat-knock off. The recessed and rounded edge is so that they fit under the bedrail, as you rotate them in the radius matches the contour of the truck's fender, this allows you to get max airspace. It also provides a surface to use to anchor the box. I made a set of brackets for eash side out of some 1 or 2 " angle that help to secure them to the bedrails. I dont have any pics of them installed, but they work, sound well. I jut didnt want side panels in myc truck...just more dead, unused space. If interested I can try to remember to get some pics of them. Here is a side profile drawing its not quite right and definitely isnt to scale, but you can get the idea. Like I said, I can take pics and give measurements if the design gets anyones' skirt in a ruffle.

NOT MINE. These belong to other members here (sorry can't remember who) but I saved them a while back for ideas when I make mine.

Awesome work whoever did it.

Has anyone run wires without having carpet? Mine is fully rhino-lined, I'm still trying to figure out how to wire it (say from a Tuffy console CD player) so it looks nice and neat. Any speaker wires that can be run UNDER the rig or anything like that?

I have some speaker wires and a CB antenna wire that run down from the dash to the cover over my ZF and then run under that and back inside under the seat to the speakers and antenna. So far no problems.

Yep, speaker wires are insulated so water/mud wont hurt em. Just make sure you use some zip ties and keep them tucked under so they dont get caught up on something. This is the best way to run the wires since all you need is a little hole drilled in the floor - serves as a mini drain plug too!

Bond- if you have a front cage section you can zip tie or wrap (hockey grip tape) every ft or so the wire to the roll bar to keep it low key, especially if you can keep it on the bottom side of the tube.

I will try to get pics of my boxes this evening and post them.

Yeah, I've thought about trying to run the wire inside the roll cage tube, up to wake board speakers like MI-Bronco's, but it seems like it would be very difficult to actually string them through - or impossible in areas where pipe is welded other pipe.

don't give me that much credit...
the wires are in a black wire cover zip tied to the rollbar....
