Looks good, but will it handle the flex without breaking?

it should there is a small buffer zone aroung it and it was glued in with flexible urithane so we should be good but if not we will try something else and beside that i dont do a lot of rock or mud mostly street

That looks great! Would look good with the hard top glass like that also.

I'd like to mount glass in my hard top with a motor to vent them like my excursion.

I was just thinking of that the other week as I watched a newer car get a new windshield glued in.

Looks nice. Did you paint the edges of the glass black or is the urethane that straight? Very clean and neat install!

Looks great!!! What did it cost to get the glass cut??

it did not cost me anything because my dad owed me but he said that he would do it in another for 250 with the polished edge like i have or 200 without but if you just want the glass it would probably be about 150.00
but i am sure your local glass shop could give you an exact price

Hi Sean
Do you have a picture of the inside of the windshield, and did you weld up the 4 corners first, also how thick was the glass you used ??

I am thinking of doing the same thing. I talked to a uto glass shope who will cut me a tinted windshield, do plack primer around the edge like you and glue it in.

That's great. I was going to do the same thing next time I replace the windshield, but not until then. Glad to see it working out for you so far. I'll be interested to see how it holds up to flexing off-road too. Don't really know how much the frame moves or doesn't, but it'll be interesting to find out.

glad to see im not the only glass guy close to the bronco community.. i take it your dads in the business ... i did the same with my top . i used greylite 14 tempered glass, in the back.. its a black (privacy glass) update us on the windshield if it handles flex, may do the same to my windshield.. may also put the greylite 14 in the doors, gotta block as much sun as possible in az... it looks good....
