Windshield gasket removal…

Anyone have a quick and easy way to get a 50 year old windshield gasket out without breaking the windshield? I have not one, but two gaskets because I forgot i ordered one 10 years ago and never replaced it. I don’t procrastinate, I just sort of ease into various projects…

Knowing my skill, I am likely to break the glass putting back in, so who has the best deal on Bronco glass?

Rubber that old is usually pretty crispy on the outside. You might have better luck cutting the inner lip off.
You are NOT going to flex it out of the gasket. A gasket that old will need to be destroyed to get the glass out.

I got my latest windshield from Jeff's, I believe. With free shipping it was the best deal around. I've heard of people having good luck with Amazon windshields, but I wasn't feeling particularly lucky and figured I'd support one of the venders.

If you're planning on driving your Bronco with a windshield, I'd go ahead and order one now. I'm certain I would break it in the removal process!

Totally, with the labor involved, new gasket, new glass for sure, plus you'll enjoy being able to see through the windshield;)
