I am installing the ex efi system in my 1971 bronco I am haveing an issue with how to run the return line. I currently have the two tank set up and I don't know if it's best to use a 6 way valve or to combine the two tanks and run one return line. I want to eliminate haveing the return line fill an empty tank wen I switch to the tank with out a return. Help please

Hi and Welcome to Classic Broncos!

An option for some is to install the EFI fuel system to just the main tank, then use a cheap pump to transfer the fuel in the Aux tank to the Main tank. It really does simplify things...

If I ever get around to installing an Aux tank again, I will be running a transfer pump into the main tank. Though for that to even make sense, I need to start driving mine a lot more again.

My setup for the desert: Plumb the return to the main tank. Plumb the aux tank to drain into the main using a manual ball valve.
For an EB since the aux tank is the same elevation then a transfer pump is used. Get a smart fuel level gauge that lights a light to tell you when there is enough space in the main, then transfer the gas to the main with a switch that opens or closes the valve. Then program the smart fuel level sender for the aux tank to tell you when it is empty and wire that light to turn of the transfer pump. Fuel gauge sold by Speedhut will do the job. I think Autometer sells a similar fuel gauge? Any fuel compatible pump will be good enough since flow rate in not important.
The result is a semi automatic setup that is way more complicated than a 6 way valve. Ha.
