I took the wife to an antiques mall so she could find so things she wanted & I noticed these looking like they needed to be hung on my garage wall. It's a little chilly to be water skiing now & these need some boots so they will probably stay as wall hangers - I just think they're kinda cool!

Those look cool...

I'm a die-hard waterskier...not some slalom expert but I sure enjoy getting towed around till the temps hit about 60F...course where I ski the water is snow melt and the water is typically about 45 degrees until July...

can you spell "hard core"... :)

I think you should get a gun rack and hang them in the side window of the Bronco.;D

great idea but I'm not gonna run a hard top so I guess I could strap them to the roll bar/windshield frame.

Reminds me of helping a friend close his cottage in northern Michigan the first week of December. We had to get the boat to the ramp to pull it out so of course someone had to ski. I did a dock start & skied up to the beach when we got to the boat ramp - my ankles were so cold they hurt for week. %)

We used to ski 4 days a week. Even through the Winter with dry suits on.

You're right, those are cool, but only on the wall or roll bar! ;D

Save the pics for when Bronco Driver Magazine has the article "Bronco Related."

Grew up skiing on a set of cypress garden skis, brings back some great memories.

Ha..one of the two sets of skis on top of the Island Queen is a pair of Cypress Garden skis. I first learned to ski on those..behind a wooden runabout with a 65HP Johnson V-4 in a North Carolina lake, circa 1967...

Corunna transport vehicle as well! Multi purpose at its best. ;)

It is an amazingly well-equipped and well appointed vehicle...:p

I taught Nick Menudier a lot about building top shelf stuff using this rig as the example...no detail left to chance.

I'm Taking notes for when I build my next Bronco.

I did see these on Flea-Bay if anyone needs them. Graphics are rough on these - mine have a few chips on the tips that a little Wimbledon white touch up paint will fix. :) I paid $80 & I thought that was full retail. %) Most used skis go for $20-50 around me.

I probably was about 5 years behind you (1972 or so), on a small lake in the Berkshires behind a 1969 fiberglass boat with a 55 HP Evenrude.

I am in the next decade....about 1980...
Behind an aluminum boat and a 1964 50(?) horse Johnson outboard.

Too fun. We still have some Broncos at my mom's. The Broncos were what we always were using to teach new folks skiing. Another big waterski family here. I swear my brother was strapping skis to me and dragging me behind a boat not long after I could even swim. He actually gave my mom this hilarious book this Christmas "The Golden Age of Waterskiing." Some awesome pictures in there!

My little sister had to wear sneakers on her feet to fit into the smallest setting of the skis. We could all deep water start on one ski. It was a great childhood!
