Trying to decide on shocks. I double checked and only have one shock mount location on the front right (two on front left)...not sure why the difference. Think I'm going to purchase new shocks all the way around. Based on Brewchief's recommendation as well as my research, I'm going to go with 360/80 front 255/70 rear valving. Now to pick out the right length shocks. Static length is 22.75" front and 21.75" rear. The shocks I have found (Bilstein Part #'s 33-230344 & 33-185552) are both 25.9" extended and 15.9" compressed. Will that work, or do I need something longer for the front? (I'm having a hard time finding a longer shock with the correct valving.)

No, I would say those are too short for either front or back.
Maybe that’s the same problem the previous owner was having. Or they just didn’t know what valving would work best for them.
Or they didn’t intend to drive it on the street.

But there’s probably something out there you can get. You can actually have the 7000 series Bilstein‘s valved to your specifications if you want to go that deep.
Or there are certainly other brands that can do custom valving for various length shock absorbers.

Not near my book, so I am not a good resource for checking at the moment.
Lots of different shock options and many members here have used from the mild to the exotic over the years.

I talked to Matt over at Wild Horses and he was very helpful. We decided on the adjustable Rancho shocks that they carry (part #: RS999028). It is the correct size and with the adjustability I can dial it in for the ride I'm looking for. I'll report back once I get them installed.

It was my pleasure to working through it with you! Looking forward to hearing about the install and results. :)

Matt
New shocks are on...definitely more stable and definitely less bouncy. I'll play around with the adjustability to get them perfectly dialed in. Took them for a drive and had the fronts on 7 and rears on 4. When I got home I adjusted them to 6 and 3 respectively but haven't had a chance to take it back out. Thanks again for everyone's comments and insight.
