Possible wheel/tire change

My current set up has 15x7 with -5 offset with 33x10.5s. The rear disc brakes have about 1/8" clearance to inside barrel of wheel. Actually had to have the inner weights removed and weights put on outer lip because weights hit calipers. I would prefer a bit more wheel well fill and a bit more aggressive stance. So thinking about going to 35x12.50s. I have a 83 CJ7 that my Bronco wheels would fit on very nicely (straight swap). Considering going to 16x8 with -6 offset with 35sx12.50. Or I could go with a 17x9 with a -12 offset. Thoughts?
Here is my current stance:

Before you order tires make sure you have clearance for the addition width. You may want to get metric tires since they make narrower widths with similar heights. Like you can find a 34.5x10.7 kind of thing.

Have you looked at the US Mags, 17' Indy Slots? Same look as your current setup. I don't remember the offset dimension. I am running them with the P metric KO2's, LT315-70R17.
My Bronco has a 2.5" suspension lift and 1.5" body lift. Here is a link to my build thread, where I have some pictures of my Bronco. I can take a few current pictures if you would like.

I think going forward, 17's are going to be a lot easier to source. Kind of wish I had done that before buying my new 15" slots.

As of late there has been a revival of 15" tires hitting the market, especially the 33x10.50r15, Yokohama has introduced an AT and MT, Kenda also has added MT and RT in 9.50 wide along with 10.50 wide. BFG is still supporting with their new tire releases as well.

Yes. Running 33x10.50-15 Kleever RT on the Mrs 96 Explorer. Also carry the same tire in 33x9.50-15 for a spare tire in my J Truck, takes up much less space than the 33x12.50 that it runs. Like them other than being noisier than I’d like but they are quite aggressive. If were buying tires for the explorer today (weren’t available at the time) I’d purchase the Yokohama AT4.

I recently swapped to 17s, I really miss the look of my 15s but the tire options fall off above 35s. I ended up adding spacers to get the wheels sitting where I wanted.

I went from a 33x12.5 to a 33x10.5 with my cut fenders. Personally, I like the look better and it drives so much better on the road.

I remembered that I had some pictures of my Bronco, before the frame off. With the 35's and only the 2.5 suspension lift.

@gnsteam Thank you! I love that look and stance! I'm thinking I may pull the trigger.
Are those stock width axles front and back? It appears we have the same lift so yours is what mine would look like if everything is equal.

Dang, looks so nice. I found a few pics online of another Bronco that has the larger/wider tires and the same color scheme as mine. This is what I think I am going for.: driver_front_34.jpg passenger_front_34-8-1225x815.jpg passenger_rear_34-5.jpg Screenshot 2026-08-13 101618.png Screenshot 2026-08-13 101643.png

Yes, they are stock width axles.

After seeing your thread I decided to check the tire size 35x12.5x16 for myself. That's what I currently have on my Bronco.
America's Tire no longer list that size for any of the brands they carry.
What gives?
