I have actually had a 352 FE. Just a little baby 360/390 engine. Actually same bore/stroke as the 351 W/C/M. Nice long rods, shaft mounted rockers. But overweight and underpowered. I think it is the second smallest of the FE engines. Also note that the FE family is Fords second attempt at an overhead valve V8, the first being the Y-block (have one of those in a boat in the back yard). The FE family isn't that bad, it's just the 352 is one of the ignored stepchildren, much like the 255 small block.

332, 352, 360, 390, 406, 410, 427, and 428. all in the family of the FE (ford edsel) engine group. 332 and 352 have been said to be mutt engines.

I had 352 in a '69 F100, a 360 in a '76 F100, and a 390 in the same truck. I loved those engines and they were tough.

My Dad had a 352 in a '69 Ford P/U. That was a sweet running truck.

In its day, when nothing bigger was out yet, the 352-4V FE was a decent runner. It is by no means a dog or comparable to the 351m smogger. I have several in my collection including two PI motors. As for the FT engines, they have a very stout steel crank that is a desriable piece, easily modified on a lathe to fit the FE's, for which very few steel cranks existed otherwise. i have one of those two..started out as a 361, added 390 pistons, and a 428 intake manifold. Stout truck engine, it is.

I had an early '70s half ton with a 360 in it. (giving away my age)

It would smoke the tires until you "got out of it" anytime you wanted!

Very durable and torquey engine.
