    Epoxy floor

That's a whole different problem. Mini split time?? To stay on topic, I'm thinking hard about doing the polished concrete on the next place. I've been around a couple of the other types and welding and grinding always seems to be a problem plus we have the mag chloride to deal with.

    Epoxy floor

I've built 2 houses with radiant in cold climates. While I don't deal with that wild of a swing I can say like any heating system, when it gets above the temperature setting it's not kicking in an becomes a non issue. Grabbing warm tools all winter and the quick heat recovery after opening a...

Radiant heat for the win. 🙂

    Stall…vapor lock??

You are confusing fuel demand at idle and little load with fuel demand under load needing high volume. Idling and revving aren't the same as driving conditions. Fuel demands isn't even close. Basically you need to go back to what you have done and look a little closer while doing some...

What have you done to your Bronco today?

For those of us that drive a lot on dusty roads it would be nice. To bad separators are so ugly

    Miller 211 adapter

    Found what I needed. Thanks

    Miller 211 adapter

Again the plug is an aftermarket plug. If it was a factory original I would agree. I choose not to assume it was made correctly.

    Miller 211 adapter

Thanks for that, I was hoping to figure it out without disassembling. Might be my only option.

    Miller 211 adapter

I've recently purchased a new to me 211. It came with an after market 220v plug that has never been out of the package until me. Not interested in just plugging it in to see if it works, I compared the ohm readings with the 110 plug. While it's a 220 3 lug plug like the 110 I expected it to...

    My Imported Bronco Body

My son wants my 74. I told him I would probably be buried in it, he said not for long. He has a bunch of good memories growing up in it. I loved his answer. This happened a number of years ago. My son is in town for a quick visit. He had to go look at his future ride. Showed him the stash...

How much coolant overflow is normal?

For your own sanity. Take a measuring cup and fill with water. Pour out 2 oz at a time in a solid surface and watch the puddle size after each pour. Most people are surprised at how little fluid it takes to make a large puddle.

Q-jets... some of us knew this for decades...

Similar issue on the Arizona strip with losing a fuel pump. We just had a gal jug. More stops to refill but got us home. This was in the early 80s. No traffic or cell service. Propane has some advantages as long as you don't run out on the trail.

Q-jets... some of us knew this for decades...

HUGE fan of both the Qjet and 2100 carbs. Like many I've learned some things the hard way with both. Been 4 wheeling longer with Qjets in my square bodies, didn't start with Broncos until 92 about a decade and half later. Never understood why people have used other carbs on either both with a...

Q-jets... some of us knew this for decades...

Never seen that as original. I would like to see the base gasket and how they sealed the screen. Looks like a big mesh. Is it possible that your dad did/had someone do it? I've seen motorcycles with a small mesh.

1976 Distributor Vacuum Advance Route To Motorcraft 2150 Carb?

Basically as coolant temps change the availability of vacuum changes. You have several ways to test. Check when you have vacuum going to it, ported versus manifold will be different so pull the vacuum line and feel for vacuum, you may need to rev it up and keep a steady throttle for ported...

Redrilling 8 bolt hubs to 180mm?

Drawing a blank on who makes a guide plate for drilling new holes. I believe it is one of the that does brackets and such like Barnes or one of the brake aftermarket places?? Hopefully someone will recall manufacturer options if you end up going that way.

1976 Distributor Vacuum Advance Route To Motorcraft 2150 Carb?

First question is does the vacuum valve work properly? If so, go there first.

    Weird headlight problem

This is going to be a good example of why everyone should have a cheap dvom and know how to use the basic functions. You only need a $20 one and don't have to be a electronics guru. In the meantime you want to isolate potential areas for trouble. Switch, high/low switch, wiring, lights...

Rebuilt engine only idling at 40 degrees advanced (new question 8/19)

You might also want to check the jets in the carbs and the CFM. Since you mentioned you might pull the heads and use on a different motor and you really don't know anything about what you have, do a cylinder leakage test on all cylinders. Be a shame to do all that work and find out the low...
