    Crush beat me to it... 351W will buy you more vertical room. If you are handy welding aluminum, you could chop a piece of that bracket out of the middle and weld back together, shortening it up... nothing is impossible, its just the amount of effort. :)

    additional info on the rear end stuff... I have a sandblasting addiction... housing, backing plates and drums are rust free. have been blast and painted in the past. might be greasy and slight surface rust but not crusty. Housing has also been drilled and tapped for a drain plug.
