    Intake and Carb

A Lokar kick-down cable will likely fix that issue. Not only is it easy, it is adjustable so you can have it "kickdown" at the spot you want it to engage.

    Intake and Carb

I played around with a couple combinations. Happy with a 60's iron FoMoCo 4bbl intake and a 390 CFM Holley.

    Condensation under floor mat

Rubber will do that. While it may rattle some, floor mats, carpet, OEM type stuff does that - traps water in a vehicle that is not water tight. One of the few things the PO of mine did correctly is remove all of that stuff. Saved it from rusting in my opinion. I now run removable floor mats...

Heavy duty tire carrier that works with original bumper and maintains an original look. I ordered this and after test fitting, decided it was too hefty for my needs. This carrier does not include a receiver. https://dufftuff.com/product/early-bronco-heavy-duty-stock-bumper-tire-carrier/ This...

    Holley Carb high idle

I would not mess with the idle initially. Take a close look at the choke linkage and see if there is anything interfering with operation. Mine did a similar thing when I installed my Holley and the linkage was just slightly rubbing on the carb base gasket (were the gasket extends ever so...

First time your baby went to “someone else”

I hear ya! For me, only 1.5 times. Exhaust (1) and tranny overhaul (0.5); I removed the tranny myself and took it to the shop.

Earliest Broncos known to exist (1-30)!!

Very cool! Sidebar: The "8" is upside down... A skill I have left over from doing the outside marquee at a movie theatre in the mid 80s - shine, rain, extreme heat and cold <--- great times!

What have you done to your Bronco today?

For years I could not get the stock overflow tank to function consistently. The radiator would push fluid out (eventually some would overflow), however pulling back was minimal at best. New hose, hose at the bottom of the tank, blah blah. Thought about the later model dual tank. Went this...

    Cylinder Head replacement

Unless the engine has been severely abused, those heads are fine. Did the leakdown test reveal the valves as the issue or the rings?? If valves, a weekend, new head gaskets, new manifold gaskets, new valve guide seals, some valve lapping compound and some solvent will get those heads in shape...
