That's great that you were able to make one. I got one from WH recently and it makes the process much more controlled. But something has changes with the seals. Yes it is possible to a longer key. Long ago I replaced my factory key with one that has a long shank. It has been great for keeping the keys off the dash. The problem arose whn I tried to put a new ignition and lock set in. The later replacement locks use a different blank that does snot have...

From experience two things: Fuel filters and coil. Then all the reasons stated above.

NAPA is the place for this type of stuff. Top of the line version or suffer the consequences.

Heck, our 76 sits 1 inch higher on the driver's side. I have been around long enough to know the drill. C-bushing re-seating, new springs, etc. Nothing fixes it. Pretty much gave up.

Since I am keeping a more classic look, I went with WH billet knobs and paired that with a short throw B&M NV3550 shifter. Made my own labels because all the commercial ones are tiny, hard to see, and don't have the right look.

Speaking of BAT: Did anyone else see the post from Haggerty today that Broncos defied the recent downward trend in collectable prices this year. They noted that prices were down a bit in the spring but they are back up now.

Only use Odyssey batteries. Optima not so much anymore for the aforesaid reasons.

2.5 inch suspension and Bilsteins. Like Broncobowsher said of his mod, this took the fun driving out of the picture. All I do is roll, pitch, and yaw my way across the landscape. Feels like driving a boat on choppy water.
