    MAF failure symptoms, diagnostics

Good deal, I was curious on what may have happened. My Gary tuned GT40 headed 351w ran great but I was afraid of stuff like this when I wanted to double the horsepower so I went with a far simpler TBI setup with easily readable out input and adjustable inputs.

    I Have my build date!!!!

No word on my build yet - order number 10129074 though. 4dr Badlands Sas 2.7 tow with lux package, pretty much a first edition...

    Who's Getting a '21?

My wife had me pre-order her a Badlands with the Sasquatch, rock rails, rock lights, pod lights, lux package 4 door in cyber orange. Can't wait, we are going to go to Moab shortly after we get it and wheel the sh!t out of it.

    351w vs 5.0 Explorer

351W ALL day. Fi-Tech 351W Lower/B.C. Adapter/Mustang Upper I ran both a LOT with Explorer front dress with a Ranger radiator and the factory shroud and only had issues when I was using all the throttle for an extended period of time. Only recently with my complete rebuilt with forged...

    Full width axles

What are you doing that warrants the metric rear 8 lug axle? Like the only point of that is to match a front axle as you can arguably build the factory 9" to handle the power of that rear axle. If you are going to run a full width D44 front then I would match it with a full width rear 9" to...

    Cracked OEM nylon fuel line

Same deal, happened to me in that same exact place. I know nylon is common on the new stuff but I wanted it nowhere on my classic so I ran 3/8" coated brake line from the front to the rear with EFI rated hose/clamps at the ends where it needed it. Zero chance for failure, room to grow. CHEAP.

    Detroit Locker up front? D60

torque biasing, not limited slip. Detroit's are seamless when power isn't applied allowing nice and smooth steering and locked characteristics when power is applied. For ultimate off road capability a Detroit is where it's at. My next ride will have one or an ARB for offroad might or a...

    Aluminum fan shroud

I wrapped aluminum around the stock shroud on my Champion radiator, works great.

    Detroit Locker up front? D60

Take it form me, I was welded for about 8 years and last year I switched to another axle with a Detroit in it. NEVER going back, worth it. It steers and moves and acts so much better.

    Full width axles

You get more up travel than you would expect due to the axle being wider, pivoting better under the truck and allowing quite a bit of travel. What are your goals? Nobody puts full width one tons under a truck for street duty.... If you are going to stick with a 37" tire and want road manners...

    Atlas 2 leak

I've beat mine against the rocks for a decade, literally no skid plate. Seriously, brake clean it and RTV the leaks. Who cares how you get them to stop, as long as they stop.

Thinking of a 351W swap, things to look out for??

My street truck will have a body lift to clear the Windsor and the ZF5.

Oil leak at oil pressure sending unit. (HELP)

I'm running a generic cheapo ebay aluminum one on two engines with multiple sender swaps without any leaking. Running either an ancient (just failed) Ford racing mechanical gauge or an Equus electric unit. The Equus stuff really has me impressed at the price point, I've power washed the tach...

Thinking of a 351W swap, things to look out for??

Mustang covers clear my master and my roller rockers.

Anyone have experience with RustBeltBroncos tubs?

Interesting, I'll be in the market for a tub down the line and I may have to come take a peek.

Oil leak at oil pressure sending unit. (HELP)

If it is a mechanical gauge put some PTFE tape on the adapter and sensor.

Thinking of a 351W swap, things to look out for??

351W with Explorer accessories FTW! I've got a custom PS pump where the A/C compressor sits, beyond that, totally stock, fan included.

Pushrod Length for 351W with GT40s

Stock stuff works, been running stock pushrods on a 351w with GT40's for years.... send it!

    Atlas 2 leak

It's going to leak again. It sucks. Do not forget to put RTV on the splines and threads of the front yoke, it will wick through and leak there. Surgical clean and if you can find the same sealant they built it with, I'd use that. Mine never leaked until it needed service, but it's 10 years...
