    Southern California Painters

I have multiple friends in SoCal that use Autobahn collision center in Torrance with great results.

    Front Suspension Too Soft?

If that is a twin tube shock then there is valving in the base of the body, with it up top it is sitting in an air pocket making it cavitate and useless thought as Todd mentioned they are wayyy too long as well. A shock with a IFP - Internal Floating Piston - separating the gas and oil can be...

Can Tie Rods be Powder coated?

Powder coating needs to be heated to cure so any plastic or rubber will melt, also sandblasting will likely get blasting media into the joint. I would ruff up the surface and paint it.

    Track Bar Solid Bushings?

If you have any bend in the bar and heims on both ends it will start to flop and rotate every time you hit a bump as the heims will rotate freely once they break in, a straight bar is ok but IMO a heim on one end , Delrin on the other to keep the bar from rotating is the best combo.

    Track Bar Solid Bushings?

There has to be some misalignment on the bushings, Delrin is a better option IMO.

    WhatÂ’s a title worth?

If the frame Vin is usable then I would say $2500 min on the west coast as I know some people looking and that is there starting price for one.

How much is a title and frame worth?

I found one here in Oregon for $2500 but took a few years of looking.

Started for the first time in seven years runs rough. Where do I start

For a quick carb clean with the engine running pull the air filter, use your hand to open the throttle all the way, let the engine get around 3500-4000 rpm and put your other hand over the carb intake, repeat 3 or 4 times. This puts all the vacuum into the jets and pretty effective way to clean...

Confused by this type brake pads

Looks like the caliper is designed to bolt on the the slide brackets that bolt to the axle, Do you have the brackets that bolts onto the axle?

    Steel It rattle can paint

I used Steel-it Gray rattle can on my King shocks about 3 year ago and holding up great, some rock chips on the rear shock reservoir that faces forward in front of the axle but thats to be expected with any coating and I only scuffed up the bodies with a 3M pad so not the best prep job.

    2 Engine Plans

Well it was was a legitimate question actually, people I know with new Tahoe's can barely get 20 on the highway so Im not jumping to believe an LS swap on 37's is going to get 19-20mpg which is why I asked. Most poeple I know that make those claims also say they get crazy high mpg with there...

    2 Engine Plans

Just out of curiosity to your buddies getting 20 mpg on 37's at 70mph also get 60mpg towing with there CumminGs up hill into the wind? I didint miss the point was just pointing out it seems you just really hate diesels. Its good to list pros and cons , you just seem to have a very biased...

    2 Engine Plans

Gotta say it sounds like you just hate diesels as most gas powered ones will have exhaust just as loud as the fuel knock from a 2.8 and Ive never heard of people getting sick from Diesel exhaust but not gas and I was a Diesel mechanic for 15 years. In terms of MPG when there was a thread on...

    2 Engine Plans

My biggest hesitation with the Cummins is looking at all the fab work people like Digger556 is having to do, I have access to a full machine shop, laser , press brake and what not but if an engine swap requires 500+ hours of fabrication time the chances of my Bronco getting pushed into a corner...

    2 Engine Plans

I am in the same part of my build and was planning on either a 351 or 2.8 Cummins, my biggest hesitation with the Cummins is a lack of aftermarket support for the Bronco platform yet as the few I have seen have taken extensive work to make it fit but 20+mpg would make it a lot more feasible to...

    Need a frame piece

I thought the front of one was good and the back of the other was good? I haven't looked at them for about 9 months so dont really remember, I know how much money the Bronco is going to cost so trying not to think about it yet!!

    Need a frame piece

I have 2 frames here in Bend that I got from Gupster88 so makes sense they would be needed right back on the coast! The body is sitting on top of them but I will try to get some pics , I cant remember where the rust holes are.

    B20 Biodiesel

High grade bio diesel work well and typically has more lubrication then regular diesel, I run it in my 06 Cummins with no issues but I do have a 2 micron filter and wont run it in the winter where we will see 0 deg temps as it seems to coagulate. I would never run home made bio that is unknown...

    Outrageous shipping charges

Shipping and lead times are all over the place right now and while USPS has had issues USPS priority , especially flat rate if you can fit a part in that size box, have been the most consistent and affordable. Fed Ex has been the worst for delays.

    Niagara Falls

It was diverted to the Canada side so the ground could be checked for erosion , did not dried up due to lack of water.
