    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

My bad when I stated earlier that the sump requires a return line. I saw this in the instructions and thought it was a return line but looks like it’s just a vent? I never really considered the sump system, so didn’t spend a lot of time studying it.

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

The PF4 offers two fuel pressure options based on your setup - 43 and 58 psi. The map matrix with all of the options is at the back of the install instructions. There is a pretty extensive PF4 forum out there with random nuggets of good info, but you have to wade through a bunch of smartass...

And the stock throttle linkage clip won’t work if you flip the linkage. You’ll need the mirror image version of it. Found mine here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002ES5CQ8/?tag=classicbroncos-20

Well, I don’t remember the instructions as well as when I did the install, but you have to run a return line to your tank regardless if you use their sump system or not and your stock tank isn’t setup for that. I also wanted more fuel capacity and an in-tank fuel pump, so I went aftermarket...

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

You shouldn’t need that (overpriced) Lokar bracket if you’re not using a kickdown cable. I remembered that I also had to push the bell house crank bracket up and grind a little off the the leg of the arm that connects to the linkage because it was pretty close to rubbing on the drivers side...

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

Thanks for the extra anxiety, ha. I haven’t figured out what makes the 1250 with metal inserts fit some stock heads and not others. I double checked the third time I installed a set (is that like triple stamping a double stamp?) and there was no way they’d move far enough back towards the...

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

Mine was almost too short when I had to unthread it, so I ordered a new one that was basically the same but longer. I also flipped it so it lined up better either throttle body. I think I loosened the bell crank bracket and shifted it towards the passenger side a little to also help with alignment.

It’s a stock speedo, and the system does not come with a VSS.

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

Speedo works and it won’t start in gear, so I’m guessing they’re connected and working. I didn’t mess with either during my install. Also, it goes into gear without dying after initial startup with no problems, so I would think if there are issues with either the VSS or NSS, it would happen no...

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

Glad the parts list helped. 4-5 months in, my experience has been mostly good. Cold and hot starts are great. No hiccups or issues while driving. The only issue I've had with just the PF4 system is dying when putting into gear after hot starts. It seems to do this pretty consistently. I can...

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

Basically what @DirtDonk @duffymahoney and @73azbronco said. Yes, it has been effective in my scenario as far as fumes/smell.

Leaking radiator fluid under right front of intake manifold.

If you buy another set of S3’s, lay them on there and double-check the openings of the two front water jacket openings. On my 1974 original 302 iron heads, the openings of the gaskets hang past the front of the block by maybe a 1/32”. The openings in the gaskets are just barely too big and it...

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

If you have a 1” BL and you use a filter that is in the 2”range, you should be good with a traditional air filter on a 302 or 351.

Thanks. The cleaner housing in the pic is this one: Edelbrock 43662 Air Cleaner https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JDX246I/?tag=classicbroncos-20 I had to get a separate, shorter 2” tall filter though.

SOLD 23 gal gas tank (NWMP?)

Took this out of my bronco when switching to an EFI tank. I’ve been in the EB world only 4 years, but from what I’ve seen, I think it’s an NWMP (someone correct me if that’s wrong). Some of the others I’ve seen don’t have a drain plug, but this one does in the front passenger corner. Includes...

    Aluminum valve covers leaking

1/4-20. I used these. I think the allen head bolts that come with it are junk and the washers are too big.

    Aluminum valve covers leaking

I had the same exact issue with the same exact bolt (I think) with these covers. When I switched from the Fel-pro rubber to cork gaskets, that did the trick.

Cutting WH Full Circle Fan Shroud

I did the shop rag to the grill and business card to the rad test and it seems to be pulling air really well. I’ve seen some posts where people have cut them in half and it makes a ton of sense for the reasons you mentioned. If it comes to it, I have an idea for evenly cutting some off the...
