Hi Aaron,
The pass side quarter is just sitting in place, I still have a lot of metal prep to do first before welding it on. On the drivers side I drilled holes from the inside of the truck to the top of the quarter, and spotwelded down from the upper rocker, also using sheet metal screws about every 2" to hold the quarter in place. In the rear I set the quarter in place, clamped it down, and then drilled holes from the inside of the wheel well through the quarter but not into the tail light box. Then I welded both panels through to the tail light box. In the front rocker, after welding the quarter into the door jamb I drilled holes through the quarter and welded the rocker onto the quarter through the wheel well side. I'll get some more desriptive pictures taken as I go along on the pass side. I also will be replacing the entire rocker on the pass side. Thanks for asking!
Bernie

Looking forward to more pics

Hey Bernie, you are getting faster, I wish I would have started with something like you did so that I could have made repairs with it still together like your doing but mine was too far gone for that. Lookin good though, keep it up.

Thanks, You too! I feel we are doing a good thing by saving something thats old and a classic! Besides that is FUN!

Working very slow today

My lower back went out on Sunday, so today was the first day I could do anything again. I took my time and made sure I didn't hurt myself again. Feeling better now... It’s like working on the Bronco is some form of physical therapy...

I'm going to save the door post. I don't really want to brace the body for removal, and it only has a few spots of rust that will be hidden from view when patched. The only patch you will see is the one I finished today, and it came out great!

Looks good. Seems like the quarters are fitting good, do you mind telling me which vendor you got them from?

Thanks!
The Quarters are from Bronco Hut in Colorado. They are the updated or revised ones and are supposed to fit better.

Today I got a lot done on the Bronco,
Patched and braced the door post, and patched the bottom of the upper quarter. Did it all in about 6 hours. Backs feeling better again.

Nice job on making the patch panels. You make it look too easy.
After welding do you use a seam sealer on all the new panel edges ??

Again, nice work !

Thank you for the compliments, yes I use seam sealer on the spot welds, and the seams, I also clean and seam seal the factory seams too.
