That is awesome and a great story. I love the first pics posted. That is what I remember my Bronco looking like when it was new and I was just a little kid.

Service sticker with nothing written on it. I like all the small clues on this Bronco that point to it never being driven.

Here's a couple more "this Bronco hasn't moved for years pictures"

All four wheel covers have this similar level of paint fading on the black painted areas. You can see where the tops of the covers were more sun exposed. Pretty cool.

Classic sir.. Love it

Wow, not sure how I missed this thread...although I've been taking a break from Broncos recently.

Nice find, and great color combo. Same color as my '76.

Can we see some engine pictures?

I was disappointed when I first saw the engine bay. I was hoping it would look brand new. It's not until you start looking at small details that you appreciate how it looks after all those years of Midwest weather. The engine bay is essentially as found with no real detailing done. As you can see various components took a beating from the weather while others remain in good condition. The air cleaner is a good example. The top looks weathered but underneath is pristine.

More from Andrew's report:
"It is reported that the Bronco was purchased and used for only a couple months before being put into
storage. Also the car was carefully broken in. The owner was particular about break-in maintenance and kept
speeds low. This is evidenced by the radiator fins - there is no debris in the fins, no bugs, no small rocks. The
fins are also arrow straight suggesting this car was not driven at high speeds or on any sort of long trips. The
under 500 miles on the odometer were probably put on in-town.
Engine items like the spark plugs, wires and vacuum hoses are all original pieces."

A few pictures of the truck where I first saw it. It sat in this warehouse since 2006

Bummer they had to change out the original brake lines on the master.
I sure wish somebody would step up and make a correct replacement.

I agree someone should reproduce them.

The other thing I think I saw in a early post was painting the underside black. The prior owner did the same to my low mileage one before he realized what he had really found.

I just now saw this thread and reading it as well as seeing the pictures gave me chill bumps. So awesome to see all the stationary wear and fade. I'd say the engine bay looks pretty good. What a spectacular find. Hope I get to see it in person someday but until then I'll just follow along here.

Andy it was good seeing you today and talking about all things Bronco.

I can say that I have seen this in person, what a time piece it is.

Thanks... Doug.

Yeah, I think you need to post up a pic of the oil filter Andy. See if anyone remembers just what the originals looked like.
It's definitely old, definitely "Ford Motorcraft FL-1" but which graphic style was used in '73?
That is the question...;D
