I have a chance to buy a 94 Cobra motor with 80K miles on it. Not sure how different this motor is from the 87-93 Mustang motors? I have a Ryan's harness and all of the mass air from a 93. Will this motor work? Not sure if the 93 intake will bolt up, firing order, etc.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Don't know all the details, but the '94 would have a lower plenum (more hood clearance) most likely and the shorter front accessory drive system and water pump.
The computer and harness are slightly different, so possibly the location of the sensors is suspect with regard to your current harness.
Otherwise, I'd bet that all the earlier stuff would still bolt right up to your engine. Firing order should be the same HO setup of most later 5.0's (13726548).

I have a standard '94 intake, and it's different than the others, but not radically. Not sure just what made a Cobra a Cobra in that year. Ryan does offer a '94/'95 harness too though, if you decide to go with all the '94 stuff.
Here again though, you might run afoul of different connectors on things like the MAF sensor and TPS and things like that, where Ford used several different types over the years.

Obviously, I'm just yappin', since I don't KNOW any of this from experience. I've seen the Cobra stuff mentioned fairly often here though, so someone should know what you need to make it work.

Good luck.

Sorry I did search but I could not find a direct answer. (at least it is not a topic asking for feedback on which soft top is best ;D )

1. Will the 93 EFI parts bolt right up to the 94 motor?

Just picked up a '95 Cobra motor for Raptor a week ago. He's going to run it in stock form w/ stock harness and computer (to save some $). You should be fine (& preffered method) to run it w/ Ryan's harness and your '93 EFI stuff! Might need to move some sensors around to fit the harness but should be fine as long as you've got an A9L, A9P type computer as the Cobra computer won't like it. Same concept as running '88-'93 stang EFI w/ an Explorer motor in my opinion. Use the Cobra motor & intakes/ throttle body, all '93 EFI stuff to include dizzy, and prob loose the smog pump off the accesories. Should be a strong runner!

Here's Raptor's thread:
