I do have some pictures but we have been so busy working on it I haven't been keeping them in any order. When I get some time I will sort them out and post them up. I will say we have been patching a lot of the older panels and have almost gone through a spool of welding wire. When we put the new replacement panels on, (front fender, Rocker, and Rear quarter) I was amazed that they all fit together pretty good..... nothing like the horror stories I have heard about.

If my wife would come out to the shop and look even she would start to see "Junko" will live and be better than ever!;D

So here is some of the latest Progress on "Junko".

First off thanks again to Bill for all the welding help. It goes with out saying when I use the term "we" I am almost always refering to Me and Bill.
first we started with the door post. Bill made some new thread plates, then welded up some retainers to hold them in. Then we sealed the door post back up. Then we welded up and ground down all the welds on the front of the Door post.... it almost looks like a stock door post. after that I cleaned up the rocker inner rocker panel that is still in pretty good shape. We actually replaced it a few years ago. I cant seem to find that pic so you will have to take my word for it.

we also welded up the holes in the rear door post, and got rid of the old spot welds that hold the rear quarter panel on, I have some pretty big holes in the mating surface so I might have to replace that piece... not sure yet. here are some pics.

Well I tried to visit the shop today but the doors were locked to the top secret work area. But I did manage to sneak a peek through the windows....after scrounging around to find a chair to stand on!! Have to say, I am pretty impressed. My hubby has some super skillz!! Oh, and Bill too! Way to go boys!! We, as in the hubby and I (not Bill) will be "Junkin" around town in no time!! :p

I made some good progress today. I spent all day patching up inner panels... well I cut them and did a little tack welding to hold them in place untill Bill can get over to weld them in solid. Pretty happy with my progress today,I should have the drivers side totally repaired by next weekend.

I spent about 10 hours out working on it today. Here are some pics of my progress.

Great progress bud. I finally got a box big enough to put my best top in. So hopefully next weekend I can get the body off my frame.

Bryce

Thanks Bryce!...... It's about time you get off your butt! ;D.

so I had visions of great progress for last weekend and I was really happy with my progress from saturday.Well come sunday after I woke up I realized that I couldnt open my eyes. I guess all that welding I did on saturday had burnt my eyes. I was using a welding helmet "most of the day" but the few spot welds I did with out a helment really put it to me. I was worthless all day yesterday.Lesson learned! I wont be doing that again. now I feel Like I am behind again because I had to sit yesterday out. Hopefully I can get caught back up during this week.
