I have a question about the Hurst floor shifters. I have been watching them sell on Ebay and here. Are they the same for all years or are the different depending on the transfer shift pattern.
I noticed on the vendors sites it ask if you have a J shift or T shift transfer.
Will any of these Hurst shifters work on any stock 3 speed?

I need one but don't want to buy one I can't use.

Thanks!!!!

The different t-case style uses different linkage, if they are not included you can pick them @ one of the bronco houses pretty reasonably. you can also use them on the I6 but you have to cut the rods and weld them back together alittle shorter, good luck

You need to know what transfer case you have because the brackets to hold up the shifter are different. When I bought my '76 I assumed it had a j-shifter so i just ordered everything and things just wouldnt go together right. If you want a 3spd floor shifter I have one for a T-shift. I just put it in in August so its basically brand new. I might be buying a used toploader around christmas time if everything works well. I would sell you mine for a good deal if you can maybe wait a month and see.
