Oh
After all that you better come through for us. Forgive my ignorance but is a 408 just a stroked 351? If so that would make a good little brother to my big bronco and his 460 I am installing

No offense to anyone here but I see a lot of chatter and no factual data. I'm sure organizing a mass buy isn't easy but does it normaly take this long to get off the ground and go "official?"

I don't know how long it takes, do you? If you've already put together a mass buy then let me know some tips, this is my first. Just trying to bring some personal connections out so that the club can benefit. I can put prices up right now, but then I'd have questions flying at me from every direction and I don't have time for that...then people will want pictures, engine stats, etc., etc., catch my drift??? Trying to get all bases covered and those guys over at Blueprint are busy as hell with events, races, the Speed Channel, Spike Channel, etc. I was hoping for today, but there are no pics of these engines yet, they were unveiled on June 29th, to the main dist. lines. I've been happy they've given us this much attention. I have the prices, now waiting for the details. I'll post em' up and those interested can take it or leave it ;) Just trying to help out the best I can :)

BW/Johnny-

I dont think anyone is waiting for a folding pamphlet, a 3-D hologram ("You are my only hope Obe-Wan") or dyno-sheets on these motors...yet. I think we are all interested in what models will be offered (several have been mentioned), a window of the price range and an approximate date on when this will get underway. I know these things take time; I was one of the first to sign up for the Cibie Mass Buy...many of us know and understand what a trial-o-patience that was. I am sure you are an excellent poker player, but show us some cards...we dont need no stinkin' peeksures...a few stats will satisfy the craving...and then tell everyone to leave you alone till you post the rest of the details...but otherwise show us that at least you have a pair (cards reference-guys-cards). ;D

Ok then, you asked and shall receive but hold the questions off for me, please that's all I ask, this is still under way...the prices could be changed...albeit, not greater than what you see ;)

You asked for a sneek, so here it is. Very basic and no stats, or pics. I'm trying my best to get them to speed it up, but they seem to be taking it very serious which I admire. Hang tight, I hope this gives the interested the gleam of light you hoped for~

302 Stock $1180 with $150 core
351W Stock $1249 with $170 core
Stroked 347 with 330hp $3499
Stroked 408 with 400hp $5899

Dude, pull back on the reins a little. These things are hard. I've organized three myself on this board and it is a major PITA. Can you imagine all of the options this one is going to present? Relax and let it happen and FYI- don't criticize folks when they are doing something to help out the group, which includes you.

I wasn't criticizing anyone I was merely posing the question, "does it always take this long?" I'm sorry if I came across that way it wasn't my intent. I have never organized a mass buy for anything and don't claim to be an expert. I was making the observation that it seemed to take a long time to get details of the items purposed for purchase.

I am very appreciative of all who contribute to this sight and thank people for their help in answering my own questions.

Geez Psycho, you must be hard to satisfy %)

That's all I have for today bud...I touched base with the folks over there and they are having a pricing war between the Performance Specialist and Product Manager...which is good for us...pricing may go down, no promises from me though ;) I requested some final answers by lunch tomorrow, but that may not happen...I'm trying though :)

Alaska, I'm not sure about that but we'll see what we can work on if you need a motor.

Mass Buy is "Official" once Jon reviews my post info. This thread may die off, keep an eye out for the new Mass Buy ;)

Thanks for the input, and remember, if you are interested and can commit (means you have the CASH now, not when you can get the CASH), there is a vested interest. If we commit to 10, then we get more discount... ;D
