So I did the swap with the explorer engine with 4r70w and MP 205. I am using the original explorer harness that the EFI Guy did for me. My question is I need the VSS sensor in the transfer case for a factory speedometer cable doesn’t fit. What are you guys using for a speedo cable?

What do you need the VSS for?

I want to say there is an application for VSS and mechanical speedometer. '78 Bronco with cruise or something like that. Make sure the speedometer head connection is a match.

If you need a new cable too anyway, we have this kit: VSS & Cable Kit
The D20 fitting and gear should also fit the NP205 if I'm not mistaken. But depending on the transmission you're using, the stock cable might be too short.
If that's the problem then you'll simply need a longer cable.

You can probably order one just about anywhere cables are sold, but we also have an approx. 10" longer cable here: WH 82" Speedo Cable

Is it too long? Too short? Wrong thread size?

I think we need to know what he needs before we can through fixes at it...
Speedo end into a 8k pulse generator VSS will need to be different. or maybe he is asking that his VSS harness isn't long enough?

The setup that Paul mentioned will work for you. I’m running the one with the longer cable since I have a 4R70W/Blackbox-I Titan/NP205 combo with a stock speedometer.
