Hi all. I have a 66 bronco, 3 speed manual, 6 cylinder. I'm trying to figure out why I have no horn power. I'm not sure which wire comes out of the horn button and goes to the new dash harness. I've gone over the JBG harness schematic. I have had to rewire/work around a crappy pigtail for the column to dash harness, all good. I have everything else working correctly for the column wires. All other wiring and lights etc also work good. Just no horn. Any ideas? Thanks!

Take a look at this and see if it helps:

I'm going to assume the horn works?
You could test by running a jumper from the battery directly to the horn terminal.

If that checks out, verify:

* Do you have 12v+ on the yellow at the horn button?

*When you push the horn button, do you have 12v+ on the blue / white under the dash?

* Do you have 12v+ at the wire where it connects to the horn?
You may want to improve (shrink tube / reterminate) some of those connectors. I see metal exposed which could short against... everything in a Bronco.

Can't entirely make it out, but at the left hand side in the middle, there's some white "tape" that looks like it has burn marks too?

I would encourage you to take the time and make sure all of the wiring is in good shape. And if it is not, consider replacing the harness. A good harness is not inexpensive... But a lot cheaper than another truck. :)

Let us know how it goes!

I did figure it out. I DID have power after all, it turns out the tiny little tabs under the 2 screws were corroded and once I took them apart and cleaned them, reassembled and it worked perfectly! As for the rest of that wiring, I did end up re-terminating them individually and made it so they can be reconnected if it ever has to come apart again. This is pretty much the end of this rebuild for my customer. Thanks for the advice! This forum is awesome 😎
