Where are best auto museum or open to public examples of 66 Bronks ? I'm in WY now, driving to AK. Back via ferry to WA state and somewhat (have Wife !) flexible route back to Deep South. Would like to get photos of the unique items described here if could hit on way home. Thanks for suggestions.

Where's home?

What .01% was molested???

-Fuel pump
-head lights
-PO put some different mirrors on that I've removed and he added some -chrome tie downs on the bed, black ash tray instead of gray, compass added, crap load of that black zbart underneath.

-wrong build sheet lol

We'll call it 98% :)

Looks pretty well done from the pics, they could have at least put a 66' speedometer in it.

The red one? That truck is beautiful, and very well done. few recreate the exhaust correctly like you did.

With this extensive list, is there anything special about an early (sept build) antenna? I searched, and there doesn't seem to be. Mine is not right, so want to replace it with a correct one.

I have found something that may not be just a 66 feature, maybe just early Broncos, I took pics and will make a post about it.

The manual steering box on my 66 and a friends both have just a round portion of the input shaft for the bolt on the coupling, it is rounded or detented all the way around the input shaft. My friends slipped on her one day when trying to turn. On mine, it was on the trailer, we tried to turn a little and the wheel hit the trailer frame, and we had it slip. That wasn't something I liked, so I pulled it and checked, it was the same way.

My later 71 box has a rounded portion for the bolt, but its only at one spot, sorta keying the coupling bolt and helping prevent slipping. So I am in the middle of changing them out right now as I feel safer that way.

I saw one on Ebay last week, it wasn't listed as a 66, just a rebuilt speedo, but the dots/lines were on the correct side for a 66.

Only reason I mention the speedometer here, is because of some of the detail elsewhere, and then they used a speedometer that says "unleaded gasoline only".
