So finally after owning my bronco for 12 years I decided to pay for an alignment check to see where my numbers were. I figured I had low caster with a 3.5” lift and judging from the way it drove but I didn’t expect near 0° with 7° bushings installed. And to think I drove it a couple months on stock rubber bushings with the lift installed o_O .So I’m thinking my only option is a cut and turn right? I have a Dana 44 installed out of a later early bronco with the ford disc brake conversion. Sitting at .2 and .4° caster as is. I’m thinking of cutting and turning at least 12° and dropping down to 2° bushings to make my front driveshaft angle happier. I have a 220volt 170 amp harbor freight mig at home is that enough to weld the inner c’s back on? It seemed to be plenty to weld the 1/4” steering box plate to the frame last year.
