Week end update.
Today my father and I pulled the engine. Wasn't to bad of a job. Only took about 20 minutes.

Also spent a lot of time blasting parts. I got most everything blasted. I sent just about everything small, brackets ,pedal assemblies and such to be a ecoated. Seat frames are all blasted and have been treated with rust preventative. I had to fix the seat frames in a few spots as they had been cracked and rusted. I am sending the seats out tomorrow to be reupholstered. Hubcaps are set out, bumpers are sent.

Also cleaned up a few little odds and ends and got them refinished as well.

The rough timing is the body Guy will take my truck around the first of the year as well as the engine rebuilder. Both those guys will have their respective pieces for a few months.that gives me plenty of time to start working on cleaning up the wiring harness and all the other little pieces

Hey Beau, Nice to see you restoring a roadster. Looks like you are doing a pretty detailed job. I am still plugging away at my 67 build, but when I get it done I’ll be building up a roadster from a pile of scrap (U13FL739055) probably wont have an origional piece of metal on it.... Keep up the good work that way I can use your build as a tutorial! ~Jeff

This truck might be a little cold for the snow gallop. We would probably have to wear hats and goggles️.
But that may make it pretty interesting actually:cool:

This is sort of my intent for this whole thread. For me to remember what it look like and how I did it in chronological order. I learned a lot from reading people's build threads and refer back to them often. When I get some spare time not working on the bronco I am going to go back and edit in more detail the parts in the products are used to refinish some of them . Glad to hear you're getting that truck started again saw a post on your thread get her done!

^^to a freind in Iowa, he has them down with a local guy near him . I don't even know the name of the place. I am not going chrome as my where painted originally. They did however need to be straightened. The place I sent them to will also chrome from what I hear. I will post the name of the place once I know the name and number.

Got a few presents in the mail from Santa. I used a local guy named Paul's auto interiors in Pontiac Michigan to redo the seats. The seat covers are the ones from Jeff graveyard.

Also at the hubcaps back from hubcaps.com. Wasn't necessarily cheap but they look great compared to what I had given them they can work miracles with them

I also spent another few hours in the blast box brackets and what not. My dad had them refinished with e-coat so they should last forever with a nice finish.

Hey Blue, couple of questions for ya... Did you buy the foam for the seats from graveyard also or have your upholstery guy make them?

How bad off were your hub caps? I have a set with a bunch of dings in them and one with a pretty good dent (like the size of a baseball) right in the center cap part and was curious if yours were that bad. Yours turned out great!

I did buy the foam from graveyard aswell. The upholsterer was impressed with the quality And said they went together very well.
My hubcaps did have a couple of things that I did not ever dream would come out. Those guys are very good with communication and set up your expectations properly before they charge you. Once you have sent the caps to them.

Great info Blue! My caps are similar in shape, maybe one is a touch rougher. Sounds like they will be able to take care of me. I heard they are $$$ but worth it.

I will definitely check out the seat foam also from JBG. That's good to know. Yours turned out really nice. I will be watching this build continue. I am hopefully going to start my 66 U13 in the next two months.

Well I have gotten a few more things knocked off the list. I made a trip down to the bronco ranch to pick up a handful of things. that I need it. Thanks Tom for let me Raid your stash.
I got the engine and transmission and transfer case off to the engine rebuilder for a full overall.
The body will come off in about two weeks to go off to the painter.
Also got my new seat from the bronco ranch stripped, powder coated, and reupholster.

I also started working on the wiring harness looking for any broken or bare wires it seems to be in pretty good shape.
