Another big day in the build. I took the truck to the body shop this morning. They will be pulling the body and I go back to get the frame early next week. The body will be completely blasted.

Got the call earlier this to come get the chassis.
They have been kicking a**. The truck got blasted and is in sealer. After blasting it confirmed this truck is very solid. No suprises were revealed by the blaster.

I did see some cool part numbers that are on the inside of the fenders.

So, now the chassis is home and I have to get back to work on it. Need to get the duel shock set up grinded off as well as the shock hoops. The Sparks will be flying in the garage tommorow.

Looks great Beau. The frame looks good too, no damage at the body mount areas. Can't wait to see it completed.

WOW. I just read through this build. You are doing a great job, and FAST. Thanks for documenting it for us. I am inspired and learn so much reading peoples build threads.

Spend the day grinding off the old lift kit that was on the truck. The PO welded on a few of the parts so I had to get the matabo out and cut through the welds. Made for a long day of cutting and grinding.
I also put it back to stock ride height with a set of springs I had in the parts stash from a previous truck.

Now it's back in the trailer to the blaster tomorrow. Swung by the quarter wash for a quick degreasing. Glad I did, I sprayed out the frame and a few nests and a buch of dirt came out.

I have been a little busy this week working on this thing.
Here is what I managed to get accomplished. Frame was done in a three-part metal finish product from Jeff's bronco graveyard. Then from there I rebuilt the rear axle including bearings and axle seals. Also got the front axle rebuilt same thing bearings seals etc. including new u joints. All new rubber stock seat bushings and torsion arm bushings and track bar bushings . From there I proceeded to do a fully new brake system as well all the way from master cylinder to rear drum pads. Getting the old drums off was an absolute nightmare . I also began plumbing is a new stainless brake lines and fuel lines and installed the gas tank. Unfortunately I couldn't get the bushings out of the rear springs and have to take them somewhere to have them pressed out.also got the drive shaft completely redone and rebalanced.
Tomorrow the wheels are being sent out to be blasted and prepared to be painted Wimbleton white.
I'm starting to get worried as the engine drivetrain builder will not call me back and has not let me know his progress, he is had the motor and drivetrain for about a month and a half now.
And here's some pics.

As long as I don't have many more injuries. Took a blast to the face with a brake spring. That will wake you up!

Do you happen to have the parts list for the 66 rear drum brake rebuild? might save me some time and effort with the parts house monkeys. Thanks.
