So is that a chevy disc brake conversion on that rotisserie there? ;D ;D

Looks good, kinda fun to be able to not only roll the tub around but turn it however you need it to work on it. Came in handy working on mine.

Back from the blasters. Got lots more fun to deal with. Considering handing over the rest of the body work to a pro to do on the side. I'm done with bodywork. I have like 18 pictures of stuff that still needs to be fixed.

Ordered my centech harness, warflares, a new DS fender, battery tray, and a tank strap for my 23 gal tank. My Flaming river column and linkage and bestop rear seat are already here. Parts are rolling in but not much getting done due to addition number 2 that arrived last Wednesday. Her names Hayden Elizabeth.

Don't quit on her brother. Think of the $ you'll save doing it yourself. Excellent work so far.

Someones tub got cut tonight:eek:

Think I'm just going to weld up the rust on whats left of the rear quarters now and then chuck a set of duff's steel rear quarter guards on. $169 bucks is cheaper than the body work to get it perfect. Then if they banged up later on I won't cry:cry:

Holy cr&p Hammer, that photo of you holding that new baby girl over that grill reminded me of the Steve Irwin "The Croc Hunter" holding his baby near that big momma croc a few years back....... don't let Nancy Grace catch wind of this photo! ;D

Well mad dash is on to finish my tub repair. Supposed to drop it off at the body shop in 6 days to get fill and paint. Here's the rust areas fixed. These reared there ugly head after sand blasting. Rear wheel well is not quite finished.

So I knew that I needed to cut the tunnel and make some sort of panel for the zf and np205. Seems like everyone just cuts the floor and lives with the body brace being cut. I didn't want to send the tub off to paint and then cut the hell out of it when I got it back. So I did this today.

Braced my rotisserie first so that I could cut the tunnel out. Made a brace around the perimeter of it with 1 1/2" flat bar. Then i plug welded it into the tub. Then I seam welded the outside edge to blend it in. Lastly I capped the open body brace and tied it into the flat bar. I'm quite happy with it.

Scraped the paint guy. I'm going to prime and seam seal myself. Sourced out another guy more local that a buddy has an in with.

Practiced painting with the air gun on my roll cage. Sprayed it with primer two days ago and it turned out well.

So I went ahead and metal conditioned the tub today. That stuff is pretty cool. Tub is drying from being rinsed over night and then she gets primer tomorrow.;D

Got the tub primered yesterday. Was using some primer (4:1:1) that the guy who sandblasted it recommended and sold me a gallon for $40. Ran out of it with 90% done. Rushed down to the only place I could get auto paint stuff after 5:00 p.m. a town over. Got a gallon of PPG epoxy primer with two quarts of catalyst. Cost me $216! That was on my dad's work account after 50% off. I almost died. Oh well had to get it done.

And then put it back on the chassis today. Pretty happy with it. Still have to seam seal. Now I can get the braces out of it and start working on the doors/fenders/hood/grill. Its going to be nice to have one side of the garage back.

Looking good Steve, you've ton a ton of work. Looks like you'll be able to wheel with us soon and scratch it all up. The first scratch on mine hurt, still does.

Got some more work done recently. Doors, hood, grill, fenders and tailgate are on. Hood is rough. I knew it was rust free so i had it blasted. It has no rust but its really wavy. So I got another steel hood from a local guy here thats pretty straight. Its at the blasters right now, so I'll primer it and swap hoods later this week.

Warflares, Duff's Quarter Guards and BC Rock ski's installed. Used all stainless machine screws with finishing washers on the warflare install. Pretty happy with the look.

I'll have to put the BC rock ski's in a vice when I take them off. I've got a 1/8" gap towards the front of the door. Don't really like the three screws they give you with the kit. Trying to wrap my head around a better way to do it. I may drill out three 1.5" holes in the back side of the rocker so I can put machine screws through and bolt up with fender washers and then put rubber plugs in the holes. Haven't decided yet. At the very least i have to weld up the front hole and start again because the screw isn't doing anything right now.

Picked up these used bumpers for a steal. $300 for the pair. Rear is custom and the front was an ARB from a Land Rover Defender. I cut the bush guard off, one because it had been smashed into a rock and was pushed back 1-2" and second because I thought it looked better without.

I got a latch for the rear from Rock Ware out of Colorado. Pretty pricey but I'm very happy with it. I'm going to have to redo the spare mount. Not sure what the guy had on it but I can only mount a 265/75 backwards on it. It needs to jet out farther to fit a real tire.
