Thanks! I'm currently overseas so my "project" is on hold for the moment. However, I'm going back to the states for a month this summer and I'm lining up all sorts of work to do. Hoping to spend 2 solid weeks on this (maybe 3)!
I've been looking at a couple different fiberglass tubs. I'm liking the looks of the one from broncodesign.com. The bad news is shipping is $500 plus $300 in crating costs. The good news is my project is sitting in a garage in Sumerset, PA and broncodesigns is located about 4.5 hours away in cental PA. I could save myself some $$ by renting a trailer and dragging the rolling frame 4.5 hours, installing the tub on the frame and driving back. Even if I had to spend the night there I think it's still worth it. Just dunno about the quality. I read over the website and it sounds good. I really like the thought of the underside being as smooth as the outside. (thoughts of installing fiberglass bathtubs with jagged edges ripping the skin from my hands are flashing through my head!)
I'm also worried about the fit and finish with a fiberglass tub. Of course I may end up buying the tub, hood doors the works from this company.
Appriciate any thoughts/comment on fiberglass tubs.
Thanks,
Cliff
